Journey

I’ve always been passionate about fitness and exercise since a young age. From the age of 2 years old to 20 I was a dance. Before I started school, throughout school and college, before deciding going into it professionally wasn’t the right path for me. I Love the gym and train 6 days a week in Olympic weightlifting, keeping fit and healthy is something I’ve always loved to do.
Since a young age I’ve always known I wanted to teach and this is where I found my passion for yoga. Yoga has the element of dance and fitness to it which is what first intrigued me; the aesthetics, flexibility and the way yoga looked so basically the physical benefits. Not realising how much more yoga was until I stepped into my first class; I was hooked and knew this is something I wanted to share with everyone.
Yoga is so much more than a way to keep fit. As well as the physically benefits there are so many mental benefits, the way you can control and calm your body down through a practice with mediation and detoxifying to energising and challenging yourself in the stronger parts of the practice. Yoga is the perfect way to give something back to you and feel restored and uplifted.
Knowing how passionate I felt about yoga I took the step to do my RYS200 hour Teacher training with Hotpod at the Hackney teacher training studio and parts online as my training was mid-way through when the Coronavirus pandemic hit. Doing parts of the course online also gave me a lesson on how to teach via zoom. This also allowed me to complete the foundations of yoga course with Hotpod.
My classes are accessible to anyone and are dynamic, energetic and uplifting. Expect to feel more energised and calm after a sweaty class!
